Bank Holiday event

A Spring Fayre event will be held on Monday 1 May outside the Old Town Hall in Carlisle’s city centre.

Organised by Carlisle City Council, it will include a bumper programme of free events. The aim is to promote Carlisle as open for business and attract even more visitors to the city centre pedestrianised shopping area.

The family activities will be held between 11am - 4pm on Monday 1 May.

There will be a kids’ zone area, market stalls, street entertainers and performers - something for everyone.

Activities will include:

  • Face painting and balloon modelling.
  • Kids’ Zone marquee including a Buzz Wire, air hockey, table tennis, face painting and balloon modelling. There will also be a Spaceball!
  • Food and drink stalls.
  • Street entertainment throughout the day including performances from the Bread and Butter Company (Mr Stretch & Mr Armstrong and The Van Dunk Brothers), Angie Mack (Hula hoop walkabout) and The Fairly Famous Family (Anyone for Tennis).
